Steel rods intended for Lincoln LNT 304LSi, type ER308LSi / W 19 9 LSi, have a small amount of carbon, which minimizes the risk of intergranular corrosion. This means that there is no need to use additional alloys to protect the metal structure. The higher silicon content increases the fluidity during welding and the metal spreads better, which translates into welds with an even shape and a smooth surface. These rods facilitate the welding process while ensuring a good appearance of the weld. They are used in many areas, including: pipe welding, steel sheet production and ship building. During welding, Ar inert gas (100%) is used for shielding.
