Welding mask
One of the oldest methods of protecting the eyes from the electric arc is the welding mask. Advances in welding technology have made auto-darkening welding helmets the preferred choice for many welders today, especially younger ones, who often cannot imagine working without them. However, several decades ago, the traditional welding mask was the primary method for protecting the eyes from welding spatter and light exposure. The main feature of this solution is the use of lenses that have a light transmission shade level ranging from DIN7 to DIN13, as well as an external clear or yellow lens that protects the main filter of the helmet from spatter adhesion. Their advantage is that after finishing welding, we can immediately look at the weld and assess its quality.
Traditional masks for all welding methods
It’s worth noting that traditional welding masks require constant holding during welding, which can restrict one hand and prevent it from being used for tasks such as adjusting the workpiece or holding the torch. Despite technological advancements, many welders still prefer traditional masks. At Weldcut, we offer a range of welding masks suitable for all welding methods, ideal for moderately advanced welding tasks. We invite you to explore our offerings.
