Lincoln LNT 316LSi steel rods, type ER316LSi / W 19 12 3 LSi, are characterized by a higher silicon content, which translates into smooth, even welds and excellent fusion. This is especially important in the case of fillet welds. The weld metal has a high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, which may be caused by the action of reducing acids. These rods are intended for welding steel that operates at temperatures up to 400 ºC. The main applications of LNT 316LSi bars include pipe welding, steel sheet production and shipbuilding. The welding process takes place in an atmosphere of inert Ar gas (100%).
