Lincoln LNT 316LSi steel rods, type ER316LSi / W 19 12 3 LSi, have an increased silicon content, which ensures a smooth and regular weld shape as well as excellent penetration. This is especially useful for fillet welds. The weld metal is characterized by high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, which is caused by the action of reducing acids. The rods are used for welding steel that operates at temperatures of 400 ºC. The most important applications of LNT 316LSi rods include pipe welding, steel sheet fabrication and shipbuilding. Welding takes place in the inert gas shield Ar (100%).
