The Optrel E684 auto-darkening helmet is ideal for electrode welding (Stick Welding, SMAW), MIG/MAG (GMAW), high-performance GMAW welding, core welding, TIG welding (TIG, GTAW), plasma welding, microplasma welding and plasma cutting. It is particularly good at complex welding works, such as joining aluminum, chrome-nickel alloys and special steels. The mask is suitable for various types of work, such as: industrial work, railway construction, work with agricultural and construction machines, work with steel structures and tanks. It is also used in the construction of pipelines as well as in the shipbuilding and maritime industries. The stepless shade range DIN 4-13, with the possibility of manual adjustment ± 2, makes Optrel E684 fulfill its purpose in many welding and grinding processes at various current intensities and without limitations. The mask switching time at room temperature is 0.17 ms, and at 55°C - 0.11 ms. Thilight technology prevents user's eyes from getting tired by naturally switching to light mode, the transition from dark to light mode takes from 0.1 s to 2.0 s. The visor guarantees reliable protection against ultraviolet and infrared radiation at any darkening setting.
Optrel E684 has a number of functions that allow you to adapt the visor to the individual requirements of each user. It allows you to adjust settings such as the level of air flow and air purification, positioning of the helmet, protection of the neck and head, as well as the magnifying lens. The automatic darkening function perfectly selects the darkening level that perfectly matches the work being performed. This happens thanks to an additional sensor that measures the intensity of the welding arc. This guarantees exceptional precision of settings. This allows the welder to focus on the welding process currently being performed. Thanks to special HD lenses, Optrel E684 ensures great and natural color reproduction. Thanks to a special silver coating, the visor maintains a cool temperature, even when working at high temperatures. The use of the coating ensures a 23% lower temperature of the welder's head compared to unpainted helmets. The mask maintains shape stability at temperatures up to 220°C, while the outer protective glass retains its shape at temperatures up to 137°C. The ADF technology used in the helmet provides a very natural brightening, thanks to which the welder's eyes do not get tired. The dimensions of the ADF auto-darkening filter are 90x110x7mm, and the field of view is 50x100mm. The mask can be fitted with an IsoFit headgear and other accessories.
The visor is powered by solar energy or two CR2032 batteries, which can provide a total of 3,000 hours of operation. Under normal conditions of use, the batteries do not need to be replaced because the helmet is powered by the energy generated by the welding arc radiation. The manufacturer provides a 24-month warranty for the visor, but there is an option to extend it for an additional year after registering on the manufacturer's website within the first 6 months from the date of purchase. The face shield has the CE mark and eye protection classification according to the EN379 standard: 1/1/1/2.
