The Ideal Expert TIG 220 AC/DC PULSE W is a portable power source based on IGBT technology. The device enables welding using TIG and TIG PULSE methods with both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC), as well as MMA welding with direct current (DC). Due to its compact size and weight, the welder is highly suitable for both workshop and field work. The equipment allows for welding at 155 A with a 100% duty cycle and at 200 A with a 60% duty cycle. The machine is built to protection class IP23. The weight of the device is 15 kg.

The TIG DC and TIG DC PULSE modes are used for welding stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper, and titanium. Meanwhile, the TIG AC and TIG AC PULSE modes are used for welding aluminum and its alloys, as well as brass.

The device also features the TIG 2-LEVEL function (2-level current adjustment), which allows switching between a higher and lower current level by pressing a button on the welding torch without interrupting the work. This function is useful for continuous seams on materials of varying thickness and when there is a need to increase or decrease the welding current without extinguishing the arc. This function is also beneficial, for example, when welding aluminum for better temperature control of the material.

The TIG SPOT function gives the user the ability to tack thin materials.

Precise adjustment of TIG PULSE welding allows for control over the weld shape and arc focus. It also reduces the amount of heat delivered to the material and is useful for welding thin materials.

Arc ignition can occur both in contactless mode (HF) and contact mode (LIFT). Contact ignition is used in environments with a high risk of electromagnetic interference affecting the surroundings.

Users have the option to weld in 2-tact or 4-tact modes, both with contactless HF ignition and contact LIFT ignition.

The welder features a clear and user-friendly digital control panel that provides precise adjustment and ensures stable parameters and high-quality welding. Additionally, the device is equipped with a JOB function, which includes 9 memory slots for user welding programs.

The digital display allows for the adjustment of parameters such as: initial shielding gas flow, initial current, current rise time, welding current, base current, current fall time, final current, final shielding gas flow, pulse length, pulse frequency, AC balance, AC frequency, HOT START, and ARC FORCE. From the control panel, users can select the AC voltage waveform as either rectangular or sinusoidal.

The welder also boasts several advantages and features such as:

IGBT: The welder is equipped with modern transistors that ensure minimal electromagnetic interference and low power loss. They also enhance efficiency and extend the welder's reliability.

2T/4T: The 2-stroke mode is best for shorter welds, while the 4-stroke mode is suited for longer welds.

HF Ignition: Contactless arc ignition with control of the welding torch via a button.

PULSE: A function that improves control over the welding process and the quality of the weld. It is especially useful in forced positions. It reduces spatter and ensures less heat impact, which is very useful for thinner materials and those with higher thermal conductivity such as aluminum alloys.

PRE GAS and POST GAS: Functions useful for shielding the weld pool, which might oxidize without additional gas shielding.

HOT START: A function that facilitates electrode ignition by delivering higher welding current at each arc start.

ANTI-STICK: Automatic shutdown of the welding voltage if the electrode sticks to the workpiece, making it easier to detach and preventing accidental arc formation.

ARC FORCE: A function that regulates the short-circuit current, facilitating the transfer of molten electrode droplets to the workpiece and preventing the arc from extinguishing when the droplet contacts the weld pool.

The Ideal Expert TIG 220 AC/DC PULSE W is equipped with an SR 18 TIG torch. The welding cart allows for easy transport of the equipment and includes an option for mounting a gas bottle.

The welder is also equipped with a cooler that significantly increases its efficiency and protects the torch from overheating. The quick connector enables immediate connection and disconnection of the welding torch without the need for tools. Overload protection increases the device's reliability.

The equipment can be connected to a wireless remote control and a remote foot pedal, which facilitate control of the welding current and ease the operation of the welding machine.

The device is powered by a single-phase 230 V network and is equipped with a power plug.

The welder comes with a 12-month warranty for professional use. The warranty service is provided in a door-to-door system with no transportation costs to the customer.
