The SpartusEasyMIG 225 inverter semi-automatic welder is a modern "3 in 1" device, constructed based on IGBT transistors. The device has functions for welding with inert and active gas shielding (MIG/MAG), coated electrode welding (MMA), and TIG Lift (arc ignition by scratching). With an easy change of polarity, it is possible to weld with self-shielding wire without using gas. The maximum welding current for MIG/MAG/TIG methods is 220A at 60% duty cycle and 200A at 60% duty cycle for the MMA method. The welder is powered by a single-phase 230V network. The device is equipped with a synergistic system for welding MIG/MAG with steel wires of 0.6 / 0.8 / 1.0 mm diameter and aluminum 1.0 with the possibility of manual parameter correction. The weight of the device is 19 kg, and its dimensions are 570 × 265 × 460 mm.
The welder features a modern LCD display allowing easy, quick, and precise setting of welding current voltage and management of the device functions. During correction, the display suggests the shape of the weld and graphically shows the recommended material thickness for the selected current.
The device has a built-in professional two-roller wire feeder ensuring smooth and even feeding. Despite its small compact size and weight, the semi-automatic welder is compatible with D200 and D300 spools weighing up to 15 kg. Thanks to stable input parameters, the semi-automatic welder guarantees high-quality welds. Main advantages of the device: IGBT transistors – the device uses modern IGBT transistors, which provide lower energy consumption and are resistant to disturbances, voltage drops, and ensure reliable current delivery.
Main advantages of the welder
- IGBT: The device features modern transistors that guarantee minimal electromagnetic interference and low power loss in basic circuits, moreover, they enable increased efficiency and reliability of the power source.
- Inductance adjustment: Allows for introducing less heat into the welding area, preventing sheet deformation and preserving the zinc protective layer, which is very useful in brazing.
- 2T/4T: Two-stroke and four-stroke, in two-stroke mode, pressing the "start" button initiates the welding process which stops when the button is released, while in four-stroke mode, pressing and releasing the button initiates the welding process, and pressing it again stops the process. Four-stroke is very useful for longer welds, while two-stroke for shorter ones.
- Synergy: Provides modern microprocessor control that automatically adjusts work parameters depending on the wire diameter.
- Brazing: This method is very similar to MIG/MAG welding, but the delivered energy is much lower. Therefore, brazing is best suited for joining galvanized thin sheets. In this method, the solder melts, not the material you are working on. It is also excellent for joining thin sheets made of stainless steel and in heterogeneous joints, e.g., stainless steel with regular steel or copper with steel.
- SpoolGun: This is a welding gun with a built-in wire feeder. It works best in car workshops for welding thin sheets, also excellent in hard-to-reach places and at heights. The wire spool is located in the handle of the gun. It has a standard EURO connector and control plug.
- Hot Start: Guarantees the highest quality at the beginning of welding, when igniting the electric arc, the welding current momentarily increases to the optimal level. In some cases, this level can be manually set if there is an appropriate switch. Reducing "Hot-Start" to reduce energy consumption from a weak network or increasing it in a strong network makes arc ignition much easier.
- Arc Force: This function is used to improve the stability of combustion in a short arc and prevent electrode "sticking". When a droplet of metal separates from the electrode, the current is automatically increased to a certain level, by an appropriate switch. By lowering the "arc force", it is possible to reduce energy consumption from a weak network or increase it in a strong network, improving the stability of arc combustion. In this model, this function can be turned on and off.
- VRD (Voltage Reduction Device): Reduces output voltage (between ground and electrode) to a safe level, protecting against accidental shock during breaks in welding. The VRD system provides additional safety for the welder and those nearby. This function is especially useful in difficult environmental conditions.
- Slow Feed: This is the adjustment of the approach speed of the wire which enables stable arc ignition, especially at high wire feed speeds, minimizing welding defects at the start of the weld.
- 3 IN 1: The device has two current plugs, positive and negative, and changeable polarity. This solution is mainly found in inverter welders. It allows MMA welding as well as connecting a TIG torch with a valve where gas is controlled in the handle outside the device.
- Overload switch: This is a built-in overheating protection that extends the life of the device.
- Euro connector: Allows the use of various types of torches.
- Manual: Allows for manual correction of parameters.
- FCAW: Enables welding with cored wire without using a gas cylinder. The wire (FLUX) is filled with a substance that produces gases during welding.
