The TransSteel 3000c PULSE is a three-phase, "3-in-1" device that allows for welding using MIG/MAG (300A (40%) at a 30% duty cycle), MMA (300A (40%) at a 35% duty cycle), and TIG (300A (40%) at a 35% duty cycle) methods. The inverter is characterized by solid construction and high reliability. The welder features an intuitive control panel typical of Fronius welding sources. The weight of the device is 36 kg.

The TransSteel 3000c PULSE welder has a built-in wire feeder that is compatible with D200 and D300 spools. The device ensures stable wire feeding, thanks to the use of a four-roll feeder. At the rear of the welding source, there are two shielding gas connections, allowing for easy and quick process changes. The device also includes a control panel lock with a key switch.

Settings modes and programming options for the TransSteel 3000c PULSE

The TransSteel 3000c PULSE provides two settings modes for users: manual and synergic. In manual mode, users can independently adjust various parameters such as: the type and thickness of the workpiece material, electrode/wire diameter, shielding gas type, amperage, wire feed speed, and the length and dynamics of the arc. In synergic mode, the machine automatically selects the parameters, making it easier to use. Additionally, users can save up to five work programs, known as EasyJob, which can be accessed directly via the control panel buttons. Depending on the version, the welder features up to 118 synergic lines.

When working with the TransSteel 3000c PULSE, users can set the "arc length correction" and "dynamics" parameters. The "arc length correction" parameter allows users to adjust the length of the welding arc. The dynamics adjustment, on the other hand, enables the user to achieve either a hard and stable welding arc or a softer arc with greater spatter.

TransSteel 3000c PULSE welder - MIG/MAG welding

The TransSteel 3000c PULSE welder allows for MIG/MAG welding with features including: 2-tact, 4-tact special, spot welding, 2-tact multi-pass welding, and 4-stroke multi-pass welding. The 2-tact mode is suitable for tacking and short welds. The 4-tact special mode is effective for welding at higher power levels. In this mode, a lower power is used to initiate the welding arc, resulting in a more stabilized arc. Spot welding is used for making weld joints accessible from one side on overlap plates. For working with thin sheets, 2-tact multi-pass welding is particularly effective. This technique prevents the weld pool from cooling during pauses, as the wire feed is not continuous.

TransSteel 3000c PULSE welder - TIG welding

When working with the TIG method, the user has access to: 2-tact, 4-tact special, and pulse arc welding. In 4-tact mode, there is an additional option to set the I2 current reduction, which reduces the current intensity during the main current phase. The intermediate reduction is particularly useful when the base material starts to melt during welding or when other complications arise. The user can also weld with a pulse arc, which can be set in the range of 1-990 Hz. This function protects the base material from overheating and prevents insufficient penetration at too low a current.

The Pulse function allows for increased welding speed with greater material thicknesses. This reduces the number of corrections needed, resulting in significantly fewer spatter issues.

The TransSteel 3000c PULSE also features the SynchroPuls function, recommended for welding aluminum alloys where a lacy weld appearance is desired. This effect is achieved by varying the welding power between two operating points. This option operates in two modes: Standard Synergic and Pulse Synergic. The PCS (Pulse Controlled Spray Arc) characteristics enable the combination of transitional welding arcs with spray arcs, providing deep penetration with minimal spatter.

The TransSteel 3000c PULSE also supports welding with coated electrodes (MMA). For this method, functions such as: dynamics, hot start, and anti-stick are available. Depending on the dynamic settings, a soft and spatter-free or a hard and stable welding arc can be achieved. The hot start function improves arc ignition properties, better melting of the base material in the initial phase, reduces the number of cold spots, and prevents slag inclusions. The anti-stick function lowers the welding current value during electrode short-circuits, making it easier to detach the electrode and preventing damage to the holder.

The TransSteel 3000c PULSE also features a welding data documentation function. Welding data documentation is important, especially in the construction of steel structures. The Easy Documentation option allows for the simplest recording of welding data. A USB port located on the back of the device allows for exporting a CSV file with welding data.
