The latest inverter from Fronius Artis 170 EF is a digital device designed for TIG DC and MMA welding. High efficiency and a low weight of 9.7 kg are the characteristics of the machine. They make the TransTig 170 EF ideal for construction sites and all assembly work. The single-phase device works without problems with generators. The maximum welding current that can be used is maintained at 170 A in a 40% cycle, while in a 100% cycle it is possible to weld with a power of 140 A. The inverter has a clear and intuitive control panel and is equipped with a TMC plug, enabling the connection of a remote control.
With the TIG DC method, it is possible to work in 2-tact and 4-tact mode. Here, the user can set the welding path characteristics by adjusting the values of the starting current (I-S), main current (I-1) and final current (I-E). It is also possible to set the electrode diameter and current intensity. If these parameters are selected incorrectly, the "electrode overload" indicator will appear. The Artis 170 EF Inverter allows you to ignite the welding arc using standard contact ignition or high frequency (HF) ignition. The additional TIG functions available to the welder are as follows:
